Painted Pine The painted kitchen has a completely different sort of atmosphere. Shown here in a light pastel green the paintwork has been 'rubbed' in strategic positions, so that the pine wood colour shows through to create a warm appearance, which emulates the country style of 18th & 19th Century English furniture. The internals of the glazed wall cupboards and display cabinets, along with lattice door panels can remain in the pine finish to create a contrasting effect. Royal pilasters, a Belfast sink and fretwork carvings to the window pelmets all add to the country style of the painted pine kitchen.
